<div>Tony has returned from the New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sales a happy man having purchased two nice colts to join the team at Greendale. Karaka has been a happy hunting ground for Tony over the years having purchased Purple Groove, Manolo Blahniq and Hickok to name a few. New Zealand has the perfect climate and rain fall to breed tough and durable racehorses and NZ breds have held their own and over achieved for decades. Considerable investment in NZ racing and breeding over the past few years has shown in recent results in Australasia. NZ Breds have returned to the heady heights of the 80's and 90's and there is a real sense of optimism for the industry there right now. Tony's fist purchase was a Super Vobis and Vobis Gold qualified colt by Strasbourg - Uncovered Beauty. A precocious type who will be nominated for the Karaka Millions Race Series, he was the stand out pick for Tony in Book 2. "A natural running type with great strength, I was particularly impressed by his conformation and walk. Being qualified for the Vobis &amp; Vobis Gold Scheme is the cherry on top" On Friday, Tony had to wait until towards the end of the sale to sign for the Shocking - Wychwood Colt from Windsor Park Stud. I'm Thunderstruck has been the headline act for Shocking in recent years and he is building a very solid list of Stakes performers from 1400m to 3200m, underlining their speed, soundness and durability. " The Shocking Colt has great size, strength and scope and strikes me as a 1600m to 2000m horse in time. He has the speed influence of Green Desert on his Dams side which has worked so well in New Zealand over the years. An athletic type with a great walk and a handsome head. He looks a bargain at $30,000 NZD". Shares are available in each horse separately but Tony will also package them both together for those interested. It may appeal to some to have double the fun with an interest in both as they are different types. For over 40 years, the Schick family have been to the forefront of the New Zealand breeding industry at their Windsor Park Stud just outside Cambridge. Another Successful Trip To Karaka.

Well, records are made to be broken and so it was when 230 highly enthusiastic&nbsp;Social Syndicate&nbsp;owners and guests descended on Mornington on a perfect New Years Day to witness not one, but two of our&nbsp;Social Syndicate&nbsp;fillies in&nbsp;Mystic Vamp&nbsp;and&nbsp;Socially Sassy&nbsp;make their much anticipated debuts. This was a record Social Syndicate turnout obliterating the previous record of around 185 at Mornington 2 years ago when&nbsp;La Pluie&nbsp;and&nbsp;Dazzling Lucy&nbsp;won successive races for us and placed a severe strain on the club's sandwich and alcohol supplies.
Many who were there on New Years Day were first time owners and the excitement in the air was palpable from the moment the race club threw open the gates and our owners swarmed on to the track faster than ants at a picnic! Well we couldn't quite emulate that winning double from 2 years ago, but I think every one of our owners on course and off would have walked away confident that they have got themselves a small piece of a filly that will give them plenty to look forward to, whichever one they are involved in (or both in a number of cases).

Nonetheless both our fillies finished off with gusto in spite of their tough runs.
Socially Sassy's outstanding second had the trainer and jockey just as excited as her owners with jockey Jake Noonan, &nbsp;describing her performance to owners as "Socially Sensational" when he returned to scale. "Gabby" has already gone for a scheduled break with&nbsp;Tony's plan being to come back and head towards metropolitan 3yo races over a bit more ground in her next prep in the late autumn / early winter.&nbsp; <img src="https://www.prism.horse/api/public/image/843653278d1446a48c9adc4c58758306.jpg" alt="John Heib and Martha Cove Village Syndicate" width="250" height="190" />&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<img src="https://www.prism.horse/api/public/image/b2344ffba282471da58bad1f579957f5.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="200" /> Mystic Vamp&nbsp;("Dot") will have learnt a great deal from her day out and will continue her preparation. She has good pace and with a better gate and the experience under her belt expect her to be very competitive at her next start.
As always after a big day thanks to many people - to all the team at Mornington for accommodating so helpfully and efficiently our record breaking crowd; again to our fantastic Syndicate managers for coordinating their troops so brilliantly and also to the owners of our budding&nbsp;Social Syndicate&nbsp;champs - John Frankhuisen from Cornerstone Stud in SA with Mystic Vamp, and Kris Gorrie with Socially Sassy for entrusting their horses to Tony and our thrilled crew of Social Syndicates owners. All our Social Syndicate horses are leased allowing our owners to become involved with no upfront cost and a small monthly charge to each Syndicate member. I know some of you met Kris Gorrie at the track as she took over the raceday strapping duties for her beloved Grunt filly. Her enthusiasm for "Gabby" has been infectious over recent months and her girl did not let her down first up. &nbsp;I don't doubt Kris will be close at hand every time she races.
And of course thanks to all our members, many of whom were at the races to see their horses for the first time. Tuesday November 14 saw Victorian racing finally fight back hard against the&nbsp;succession of meaningless pop up races introduced in Sydney in recent years, with the introduction of Victoria's own Everest,&nbsp;the Tony Noonan Social Syndicates Maiden Plate.
Run over the &ldquo;classic distance&rdquo; of 1000 metres at prestigious Mornington Racecourse, it was won impressively by Our&nbsp;Cracklin Rosie, who immediately showed what a great form reference the TNSSMP (as it is already known by industry insiders) is, by heading to Moonee Valley for a repeat win at her next start.
And there to bear witness to the inaugural running of this soon to be time&nbsp;honoured classic were over 170 of our Social Syndicate members who enjoyed&nbsp;an outstanding 2 course lunch, a chance to get together with fellow members&nbsp;and an afternoon of unparalleled excitement and &nbsp;entertainment led by the maestro Tony Noonan,&nbsp;who by the reckoning of many there can work a crowd as well as he can train a horse.

The day had it all as they say in the Country Racing ad.
It featured competitions, prizes, the Men&rsquo;s and Women&rsquo;s &ldquo;Fashions in the Silver&nbsp;Bounty Lounge&rdquo;, a Punters Club, a chance to head to the Winners Bar after our&nbsp;race, revealing interviews by Tony with prizewinners, popular stable jockeys Jake and&nbsp;Dakotah and Assistant Trainer Tom Noonan and to top everything off we&nbsp;finished the day with musical entertainment from renowned stable duet Imogen and Clive.
Imogen and Clive didn&rsquo;t perform Cracklin Rosie&nbsp;in honour of our race winner, but they did perform another Neil Diamond&nbsp;classic in Sweet Caroline!
Dakotah also rode Lady Tino to victory in the second leg of the Quaddy (although as an odds on fave Lady Tino&nbsp;destroyed our quaddy dividend!) and told us about her boxing past, gave us an update on her personal life and divulged what kind&nbsp;of boss Tony was. Jake gave us the secrets behind his ability to consistently ride light&nbsp;at 54kg this spring and it didn't involve joining us for afternoon tea.
&nbsp;
The feedback Tony and I have had since the day has been fantastic and we look forward, with the help of current and prospective new Social Syndicate members to getting this years 170 people up to perhaps 300 for a similar event next year.

Thanks to Jake, Dakotah, Tom, Imogen and Clive for lending their time and&nbsp;efforts to the day, and to Caitrin Kelly from the MRC Committee who spoke to&nbsp;the gathering and hosted our members in the Winners Bar.
And in particular thanks to all our Social Syndicate owners, whether present on&nbsp;the day or not, for their outstanding support &ndash; there is no doubt that those&nbsp;who get involved in TNR Social Syndicates are people that want to get out&nbsp;there and have a good time and they always turn up to Racedays, stable visits&nbsp;or functions like this with a full on positive attitude.
In particular I&rsquo;d like to thank our wonderful Syndicate Managers who as&nbsp;always did a spectacular job in organising their troops, collecting the money&nbsp;etc. Social Syndicates is a tremendous concept giving all our members the&nbsp;chance to share fully accredited horse ownership with friends and community&nbsp;members for around the price of a largish cappuccino each week, but it would&nbsp;not exist without the brilliant efforts of our Syndicate managers.
Finally thanks also to everyone there for enthusiastically supporting Tony&rsquo;s&nbsp;suggestion to donate the proceeds of our Punters Club (approx. $240) to the Very&nbsp;Special Kids charity.

Once again, just when we thought he might of had enough; our stable Veteran showed us he's still got it in him.&nbsp;
Garfield (Our Free Spirit) jumped strongly from barrier 4 and our apprentice Dakotah Keane wasted no energy in securing the lead. The young jockey then was able to get the 6yo son of Unencumbered into a good rythym and dictate the race on his terms. With the flashback on everyones mind; of being in the exact position and unfortunately hunted down, in his last synthetic run at Pakenham. Dakotah was confident she new the right moment of when to really let him go. <img src="https://www.prism.horse/api/public/image/dab75440db254f31a532252c7385c91c.jpg" alt="" width="394" height="213" /> As he kicked away a strong hands &amp; heels performance by the apprentice, really helped the old boy find a length, and the confidence grew and grew in both rider &amp; horse; as Our Free Spirit flew past the finishing line winning confidently. Like most middle aged men, Our free Spirit has taken a little longer to get to peak fitness, but the entire team were cheering and shouting in the barn. Pleased their old boy coud still do it. The win brings&nbsp;apprentice Dakotah Keane her 5th winner, and out of the 5kg claim, now dropping to the 4kg. All Tony can talk about since the curtain went down on the 2023 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale this week, is how chuffed he is to have walked away with a "steal" on the last day of the sale. The surprise packet was Lot 686, A daughter of first season sire Strasbourg, from the Fastnet Rock mare, Zero Visibility for $10,000. One thing is for sure, this filly is a 2yo through&nbsp;and through. Not overly big, she is a short coupled filly with a powerful hind quarter, great shoulder and deep girth. She has three strands of the Danehill breed through her pedigree and Tony sees a lot of Danehill in her looks and conformation. She has that beautiful Bay colour and medium height, typical of the breed. She is a racy 2yo type who we will not have to wait long for and we will know what ability she possesses within twelve months. Her sire Strasbourg, is a first season sire by super sire I Am Invincible and he was a Group 2 winning 2yo himself. His first yearlings have been very well received this year so far and he is throwing really strong running types and trainers are happy to have them. On the maternal side of the pedigree, the page is filled with 2yo winners from Australia and Europe and this filly is obviously typical of the family as her physique matches her pedigree and leaves you in no doubt she will be an early running type. Tony remarked after her purchase that " This filly will be up and going early and her owners will not be waiting too long for her to begin faster training as a 2yo. We do not often target 2yo types but I thought this was terrific value for $10,000 and the added carrot of Super Vobis and Vobis Gold bonuses of offer for her when she hits the track. Surprise Packet From Melbourne Premier

We are delighted to have been able to purchase this colt from Inglis Premier and believe he may be the diamond in the rough we are always looking for. This colt by Impending is a half-brother to Gr.1 winner Tuvalu, winner of the Toorak Hcap Gr.1 and placegetter in the Cantala Stakes Gr.1 &amp; Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes Gr.1. Tuvalu is one of the best performed horses currently racing here in Australia with earnings closing in on $2 Million.&nbsp; Impending was a star on the track and raced in the Godolphin Blue, winning the Stradbroke Hcap Gr.1 and the Kingsford Smith Stakes Gr.1 along with multiple placings in all the major Gr.1 sprint races here in Australia. His oldest progeny are 3yo's and this season he has had 21 individual winners and one of his best Impendabelle a Gr.2 winner in NZ who, like our colt is out of an Exceed N' Excel Mare. We think this horse ticks a lot of boxes, being a sibling to a Gr.1 winner and we know the Impending - Exceed N' Excel cross is already very successful. Add to that the fact that this colt is Super Vobis and Vobis Gold eligible and we are sure we are onto a winner. The fact that this colt can race for the millions of dollars on offer through the Super Vobis scheme and also being by a Victorian Sire makes him very appealing at this price range. This horse was clean on X Ray examination and has scoped clean as a whistle and Tony's comments on the horse can be heard in the attached video from sale day. He is a fluent walker with nice girth and shoulder and if picking a negative, one would say he is a little weak behind the saddle. Blueblood At A Bargain Price

We are delighted to have secured this beautiful daughter of Champion Sire So You Think and Gr.1 performer Sister Madly to join the team. After visiting many of the Victorian farms in the lead up to the sales and then spending most of the past week scouring the Oaklands Sale Grounds, Tony was quite sure that this Filly was certainly the one he wanted on Day One. So You Think has risen to the top of the sire standings without too much fanfare but there is no doubt he is the premier sire in Australia getting winners at 2yo and more importantly at all distances. He was a versatile champion racehorse and is equally as successful in the breeding barn. The Dam of this filly, Sister Madly was a very talented race mare who competed throughout her career at the highest level. She was the winner of the VRC Salinger Stakes Gr.2 and two other group race wins. She was a Gr.1 placegetter on three occasions in the AJC Flight Stakes Gr.1, the MVRC Manikato Stakes Gr.1 and the SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes Gr.1. Her career as a broodmare has started well with her first four foals, all winners. This Filly is bred on the So You Think / Redoutes Choice cross which is proving to be very potent with the likes of Dargento, Inference and Illation all boasting the same cross. Day One Delight At Melbourne Premier.

Our Free Spirit showed there is still life in the old buy when a convincing winner of the last race at Yarra Valley on Saturday. Aided by a good barrier and a better ride from young apprentice Lachie Overall, Our Free Spirit came away at the finish to win by a half length. This was his fourth win of his career and he has placed on another eight occasions.&nbsp; The 6yo son of Unencumbered is a stable favourite as he has been around a while, and he has been very proud of himself since achieving the win on the weekend. Saturday's win was his third up run and as he gets older, he takes a little longer to shed the kilos and get to peak fitness, like many of us reaching middle age. He has only had thirty career starts so we are very hopeful that there is plenty of life left in him and more wins in store. Welcome to our new Tony Noonan Racing Website and apologies to all, for the lengthy time it has taken to renovate our rather out dated web page. You may have noticed its been a quiet period at the stables, so we thought what better time to hit the refresh button (sometimes we humans need a spell too). We hope you enjoy our new look and "vibe" (what today's youth, use to describe what looks cool). As with introducing anything new I am sure there will be a couple of blemishes and kinks we are working on; so please bare with us, as the management team start to transfer a lot of our content to this page. We are about to see a lot more action over the next few months, and this is whats been happening. "GOOD MORNINGTON NEWS" At the recent&nbsp;Melbourne Racing Club committee&nbsp;elections, 2 of our Mornington advisory group members Alison Saville and Nick Hassett were elected to the MRC committee. &nbsp;Nick is of course a Social Syndicate owner as a part of Carmel Moore's Bound To Win Syndicate.&nbsp; SOCIAL SYNDICATE HORSE UPDATE As most of you would already know September saw a changing of the guard with our Social Syndicate horses, with&nbsp;Beatrix&nbsp;and&nbsp;La Pluie&nbsp;retiring from the stable and two new 2yo fillies by&nbsp;Von Costa De Hero&nbsp;and&nbsp;Divine Prophet&nbsp;being drafted into replace them. BEATRIX&nbsp;&nbsp; After a fantastic first up win at Sandown in June and a strong follow up 5th in Saturday grade at Caulfield, Beatrix's form dropped off a little and a decision was taken in early September to retire our much loved mare to stud. Beatrix of course showed tremendous promise as a 3yo before a serious knee injury struck her down. While that injury may have caused her not to reach her full potential, she still returned to the track as a 5yo and 6yo and continued to give it her all. She ended her racing days with 3 wins - 2 at Sandown - and $137k in prizemoney. Plus of course there was the famous photo finish second to subsequent Group 1 winner Sierra Sue at her first start. Beatrix has wasted no time in starting her new life, being whisked up to the Hunter Valley for a tryst with The Autumn Sun. &nbsp;The Autumn Sun retired to stud with 8 wins from 9 starts and 5 Group 1 victories. He is advertised at $66,000 a service, so Beatrix has gone straight to the silk department here. We shall look forward to keeping you informed on her progress on the path to motherhood. LA PLUIE While La Pluie came back into this preparation giving all the signs at home that she had improved from her 3yo days, her racetrack performances failed to confirm that. &nbsp;She was thereabouts in a few moderate races without really showing the inclination to put in when it counted. In the end, as she approached the end of her preparation, Tony made the decision that she was unlikely to be worth persevering with into a new preparation and recommended that she be moved on. So we are left to remember that terrific day at Mornington in January when she circled the field for an impressive maiden win, before soon after Dazzling Lucy made it a double for the Social Syndicates. DAZZLING LUCY and TERRA ROUGE Both fillies are now back in the stables and working to very similar summer racing preparation. NEW SOCIAL SYNDICATE FILLIES VON COSTA DE HERO - ORBETELLO With 2 departures we welcome 2 new 2yo fillies into our Social Syndicates family. The first of these, a beautiful chestnut filly by&nbsp;Von Costa De Hero from Orbetello by Testa Rossa,&nbsp;is closely related to two of Tony's best known horses the Group 1 winning mares Piavonic and Ortensia. While Von Costa's stock usually take a little time, this filly appears to be well ahead of the development curve and Tony is quite enamoured with her.
DIVINE PROPHET - SHE'S A VAMP - Lease shares still available -&nbsp;ENQUIRE NOW Our most recent recruit is a brown or black filly by Caulfield Guineas winner Divine Prophet from She's A Vamp by High Chaparral. This is a pedigree littered with high class gallopers. This filly is a little behind the Von Costa filly in her development. We expect her to revisit the breakers for a refresher course in the next few weeks before returning to the stable to continue her education. We would be hoping to see her on the racetrack in the back half of her 2yo season, before continuing on to be at her best at 3 and 4. She's a lovely type with a pedigree that says she will surely win races. Her mother has one foal to race that has so far won three times.

 OTHER HORSES The last few months have been very quiet for the stable with many of Tony's better horses on a break, and many of the new ones coming along slowly. This is certainly set to change with a number of Tony's more prominent horses like&nbsp;Our Tornado Storm, Hickok, Governor Landy, Our Free Spirit, Rusheen&nbsp;and Social Syndicate's very own&nbsp;Dazzling Lucy&nbsp;set to return or recently returned to the track.&nbsp; Tony also has a group of lightly raced or unraced youngsters set to hit the track so keep an eye out. Had her career taken a different path, Dakotah Keane may have been preparing to head to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next month to compete in women's boxing.
Instead she'll be rising before the sun for work at Tony Noonan's Mornington base.
A champion junior boxer, the 19-year-old Warrnambool product turned her back on the sport to pursue a career as a jockey and joined Racing Victoria's elite apprentice program earlier this year.
"I was boxing since the age of 12, I won the 50-52 kilos in Perth, the Australian title, before that I won three state titles," Keane said.
"Once I won a couple of Australian titles, I made the team for the Commonwealth Games, which put me on a path to choose what I wanted to do. I was in love with racing, so I chose to do that path."
It hasn't been a straightforward journey into the saddle for Keane, who was knocked back when she initially attempted to join the apprentice ranks.
"I got knocked back the first year, but it was probably good because I probably wasn't ready to be in it yet, I lacked experience," Keane said.

Keane is indentured to Noonan and the Mornington-horseman is excited by the prospect of the teenager riding in races after an impressive start to her career in racing.
"She came and she was basically a blank canvas, she'd done a little bit of riding down at Warrnambool but had really no knowledge of the industry," Noonan said.
"Her energy and passion for it, she was like a sponge, the more she could do and learn - the better she's become.
"I think in time she's got the makings of a good jockey."&nbsp;
Not shying away from lofty goals, Keane says she wants to make her riding career a meaningful one and be competitive at the highest level.
"I'm really looking forward to my first race ride," she said.
"Long-term, well I'd love to be a Group 1 jockey, but I hope I just make it and be successful."
